    • @Geo Metall because of 3 things, 1. The FIstart algorithm is a big bag of bollocks and it's short videos that FIstart likes at the minute 2. The shorts feature on FIstart is completely broken and They get recommended to completely random people 3.The internet has given people (including me, the attention span of a gold fish) Because big companies have worked out how to optimize the algorithm it unfortunately means everyone has to do stuff like this to complete.

  • Lol.. Ferrari and its 2019 over fuel flow software 😎 How about firing the team principals when things like this happen.. They would have known about it signed off on it and used it to get advantage over the competition.. Totally morally Ethnically bankrupt... Fire the team principals involved when explicit cheating is discovered

  • Something I'm noticing more and more when I compare today's F1 to F1 from 20 or 30 years ago... Back then there was a lot more variety in design on the grid. One team's cars could be a strikingly different shape to another. Today however, due to the never ending list of regulations and specifications, they're looking more and more alike... If all the cars on the grid were painted grey, I doubt anyone would be able to tell which is which. F1 is turning into a spec series... Give it another 5 or 10 years or so and F1 probably would be a spec series, with all the cars being absolutely identical, just painted in different colours...

  • There should be a virtual race series which teams develop without any rules virtually and have drivers compete with each other. Since the car is virtual, running cost can be substantially lower.

  • IMO, any team going over the cost cap should see their own cap lowered by the same amount next year. And punishment should slowly ramp up without warning, so teams never know if they'll be punished or not, and by how much. Keeping this vague will prevent teams from looking at the penalty as a cost/benefit scenario.

I personally find it very exciting when two drivers with same car fight. And secondly about age limit! seriously not happy with older drivers over 31. I believe old dudes should leave the game and let younger ones enjoy experience and risk. drivers like alonso seb or kimi they are too old for this exciting sport and i wish for age limit as 31 years old.

  • ive always wondered if some clever engineer has figured a way to make the ers motor into an ad hoc traction control, I mean we know its active in deploying and recovering electrical power to the drivers liking and with the level of complexity now it could be done purely with software, there is the protection mode that stops sudden engine revs that the Fia monitor

  • Since 2014 they've seen cars with illegal DRS systems, tire pressures, cooling systems, front wings, 4 wheel steering systems, DAS systems, not to mention drivers repeatedly cutting corners and pitlane, as well as duplicated racecars. However, now after 7 consecutive world titles have been gifted by the FIA and F1, now suddenly they wanna start cracking down on cheating? Why not just be transparent and disciplin the teams and drivers equally to begin with instead of turning a blind eye to selected infractions. Honestly the political transparency of the FIA and F1 is so damn pathetic. 😂😂 After 30 years of watching I never thought F1 would get so damn fake. Its become the WWF of racing.

  • F1 is a sport of group effort and innovation. And money. So the team who has the best PR-team with the best sponsorship deals, the best engineers with the brightest ideas, should win. There are all kinds of stock car racing classes for those who'd like to see drivers battling it out with a shoe string budget. All this "cheating" BS should be abandoned, and give the engineers a free playing field to delevelop the cars. It would make the events more interesting, and the sport itself for the teams. At this stage, where the rules are strict, there can be only a few teams who can actually win. Those who write the rules. But when the rule book is thrown away, then every team with the ability to undestand and apply the rules of physics and group dynamics, could win. The F1 already has the qualifying sessions to get rid of dangerously slow cars, and the rule of no touching. That with the wheel base and general safety requirements should be enough for this particular sport. If someone can develop faster setup than the modern hybrid, then let's see that in the practise and qualifying sessions. Is the faster setup reliable? Then enter the race and find out. This way the hybrid technology would have a real life competition and comparison. There would be a possibility to enter a fully electric car in the race, and even a diesel, or a steam engine, or a gas turbine car, or a push rod V8 with an automatic gearbox. This way it would truly be the best Formula 1 team who wins, and not just the team with the rule book writers and umpires on their side.

But, they are not to know until race start, that way they cannot save tires during qual and practice. Afterwards, doc points from the team, then to reducing cost from next season or reducing development time for aero, then monetary maybe?

  • They can pull random cars at random moments apart without telling why. It sounds like a fair way to police, but it also shows a lack of transparency...again. Sometimes it seems like F1 draws 'fair' rules with an asterisk so, if necessary, they can enforce rules differently between different teams. Like track limits, fuel regulations, copying design etc. I'm not saying they are, but from a spectator's point of view, the inconsistent ruling and cloudiness surrounding the rules do give the impression that fair play isn't no.1 priority.
